Hanoi inner-city students take 3 days off to practice for military parade

(Dan Tri) - On August 21, 27 and 30, students in inner-city schools in Hanoi will be off school to ensure traffic during the training, rehearsal for the military parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.

On the morning of August 20, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong announced the above information. Accordingly, students of schools in the inner city located on roads where traffic is prohibited or restricted to serve the general training sessions, parades, and marches will have a day off. Students of schools outside the above areas can adjust their timetables accordingly.

This year, students in grades 1, 9 and 12 will return to school two weeks earlier than scheduled, on August 22. The remaining schools will welcome students from August 29.

The official opening day nationwide is September 5. According to regulations, from 8am to 9:30am, students and teachers will watch the Ministry of Education and Training 's live broadcast of the opening day ceremony from Hanoi.

To serve the A80 event celebration activities, Hanoi Police organized traffic bans on many routes.
