An impressive highlight of Hanoi in the 2025 high school graduation exam is the sharp increase in the number of exams scoring 10 points compared to 2024. This year, the whole city had 1,583 exams scoring 10 points, a sharp increase compared to 915 exams in 2024. Notably, most of the graduation exam subjects of Hanoi students had an average score higher than the national average.

Along with that, the number of schools achieving a 100% graduation rate has increased steadily over the years: 140 schools in 2023, 194 schools in 2024 and 200 schools in 2025. These numbers do not simply reflect achievements, but are the result of the persistent implementation of the movement "Schools join hands to develop - Teachers share responsibility" over the past 3 years.

The movement "Schools join hands to develop - Teachers share responsibility" was initiated at the end of 2022, in the context of the Hanoi Education sector starting to implement the 2018 General Education Program. The key goal is to connect schools across the city, form a network of professional sharing, and reduce the quality gap between inner city and suburbs.

Since then, thousands of inter-school professional activities have been organized. Model lessons, electronic lectures, experiential activities... have been closely coordinated. Notably, the Literature lesson of Ms. Nguyen Huong Thuy, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted at Dan Phuong High School, connected online to more than 200 connecting points across the city.

Bui Cao Thai Son, class 12A2, Dan Phuong High School, shared: “Thanks to the lessons from teachers at specialized schools like Chu Van An, we are much more confident in our review. I learned not only knowledge but also how to think to pass the exam.

The movement spread to many schools in the city.

One of the clearest examples of the movement's effectiveness is Nguyen Duy Phong, a 12A5 student at Chuong My A High School. Despite limited learning conditions, he still achieved a perfect score of 30/30 in block A00, becoming one of the eight valedictorians nationwide.

Phong's achievements are not only the result of personal efforts but also demonstrate the power of companionship and sharing from teachers in many schools, so that good learning opportunities are no longer limited by geographical distance.

Not only did the scores improve, but what was easily noticeable after 3 years was the spread of responsibility and a culture of sharing. Thousands of quality teaching sessions, hundreds of inter-school professional activities, and a series of self-initiated initiatives - all showed that the movement had become a habit in each school and each teacher.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong shared that the movement originated from practical needs but quickly spread thanks to its humanity and practicality. The movement not only helps spread expertise but also creates connections between teachers, between teachers and students, between schools, between favorable and disadvantaged areas, towards the goal of improving the quality of education.

Mr. Tran The Cuong said that in the next stage, Hanoi Education will certainly continue to expand its scale, diversify its connection forms, and ensure that all students have the opportunity to access a quality learning environment, thereby gradually realizing the goal of comprehensive, equitable and sustainable educational development.
