Prolonged heavy rain after the storm recently caused the Day River to overflow, causing many households in Phu Hien village, Hop Thanh commune, My Duc district ( Hanoi ) to be deeply flooded, making it difficult for students to go to school every day. Faced with this situation, the Board of Directors of Hop Thanh B Primary School has developed a plan to organize boarding meals for more than 100 students in Phu Hien village.

The school assigns teachers to take care of teaching, cooking, taking care of boarding students and managing students.

Students stay at school, following the "3 on-site" motto

To ensure the safety of the children, the school also encourages parents to let their children sleep at school overnight, implementing the "3 on-site" principle (cooking - eating - sleeping) so that teachers can take care of them, avoiding situations where children go home without anyone to look after them and may be in danger.

The number of students who registered to sleep over at school on the night of September 13 was 32. The school bought extra blankets, mosquito nets, and pillows so that the students could have a good night's sleep.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Nhu Hoa, Principal of Hop Thanh B Primary School, shared: "The school assigned 5 teachers to sleep at the school, one teacher to manage the male students' room, one teacher to manage the female students' room; the principal also stayed to manage the whole school. The teachers also took care of washing and drying the uniforms so that the children have enough clothes to wear every day."

Leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also visited, encouraged and presented gifts to teachers and students of schools affected by storms and floods in Ung Hoa and My Duc districts. The working group presented many life jackets, towels, candies, supplies, textbooks, notebooks, etc. to students in flooded areas.
