On the afternoon of May 26, information from the leader of the People's Committee of Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An confirmed that Mr. NVD - former principal of Kim Lien High School, Nam Dan district - had passed away and was brought back to his hometown by his family and the school to complete burial procedures.
Previously, on the morning of May 26, Kim Lien High School held a ceremony to receive the national standard level 2 school and a meeting to celebrate the school's 45th anniversary (1979-2024).
The ceremony was attended by leaders of departments, branches, localities, and many generations of teachers and students of the school.
After the introduction of the organizers, Mr. NVD was invited to speak, sharing his feelings about a time of sharing hardships and sacrifices for the causeof education .
About 5 minutes into his speech, Mr. D. suddenly collapsed.
Although he was quickly taken to the hospital in Vinh City for emergency treatment, Mr. D. did not survive. Doctors diagnosed him with a suspected stroke.
The celebration was then halted.
Many generations of students of Kim Lien High School shared their condolences to the principal who had been with them for many years and taught them since the school's early years.
