Students experience “A day as a soldier” at Cua Dai Border Guard Station

(QNO) - Cua Dai Border Guard Station has just coordinated with Cam Thanh Primary School (Hoi An City) to organize the extracurricular activity "A day as a soldier" for nearly 60 students.

This is an activity to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 64th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Border Guard of Quang Nam province (May 16, 1961 - May 16, 2025).

The program is organized according to the model of "A day in the army" with basic training contents such as flag salute, team review, unarmed command, battlefield posture, folding blankets, and internal arrangement.

In addition, the children visited the barracks, interacted with officers and soldiers; participated in painting competitions, physical games such as obstacle courses, frontline medical services, etc. and experienced meals and sleep at the unit.

The activity aims to help students understand more about the traditions and tasks of the Border Guard; at the same time, practice life skills, discipline, patriotism and awareness of protecting sea and island sovereignty .

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thanh - Political Commissar of Cua Dai Border Guard Station said: "We hope that through this activity, students will not only have more useful practical experiences but also nurture their feelings and respect for border guards."
