In 2022, VAS students were awarded the title "Top in the world" by the Cambridge International Examinations (CAIE) - the world's highest score in Mathematics, along with 2 titles "Top in Vietnam" - the highest score in Vietnam in Business and "English as a second language" in the IGCSE International General Secondary School exam.
This is a prestigious title awarded to students with top achievements in each subject globally and in each country in the annual Cambridge academic exams, which are held uniformly in 13,000 Cambridge international schools in 170 countries around the world.
The school year also ended with impressive achievements of VAS students in all learning pathways. For the Cambridge Academic Pathway (CAPB) and Cambridge Comprehensive International Integration (CAPI), 25 - 41% of students achieved the highest score of AA* (Excellent to Absolute) for 3 - 4 Cambridge subjects depending on the level of study. Meanwhile, in the Cambridge Intensive English Pathway (CEP), 38% of students from grades 2-12 achieved AA* for English. In the IELTS exam, 61% of VAS grade 11 and 12 students achieved 6.0 or higher. These achievements are all higher than last year, especially the rate of students achieving 4 AA* points in IGCSE subjects this year is 11% higher.

Nearly 60 billion VND in study abroad scholarships and "secrets" of VAS students
By the end of May 2023, VAS had nearly 30 students winning more than 65 scholarships to study abroad with a total value of nearly 60 billion VND from prestigious universities in the UK, USA, Australia, Netherlands, Switzerland and Vietnam. The number of these scholarships increased by 30% compared to the 2021-2022 school year and continues to increase.
It is worth mentioning that there are students who won up to 10 scholarships, many students won 3 - 5 scholarships, and there are students who are only in grades 8 - 11, such as: Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thao (grade 12, VAS Riverside, 10 scholarships), Nguyen Hai Dang (grade 8, VAS Sala, 5 scholarships) and Nguyen Duc Vinh (grade 10, VAS Garden Hills), Tran Do Minh Uyen (grade 11, VAS Ba Thang Hai), Nguyen Duc Minh Hieu (grade 11, VAS Sala) won 1 scholarship.
"High IGCSE and A Level scores and participation in many extracurricular activities are important factors," Hoang Thao Nhi (grade 12, VAS Ba Thang Hai) shared the secret to winning 4 scholarships to study in the US worth 183,000 USD and achieving "huge" results of IELTS 8.5, SAT 1520/1600 right from the first attempt.

"IGCSE and A-Level subjects such as English as a First Language and Further Math have given me many advantages. In addition, spending a lot of time communicating with foreign teachers at school also helped me achieve high scores in the IELTS exam," Nhi said.
The owner of 2 scholarships to study in Australia, Nguyen Binh Minh Tri (grade 12, VAS Ba Thang Hai) also affirmed: "Extracurricular activities are always an important point in the application. In addition to a beneficial learning environment, VAS also creates conditions for me to "go out" to gain experience and develop global citizen skills, through which I have the opportunity to develop myself and receive a scholarship".
VAS Parents: Surprised Because Their Children Are Not Only Good at English
In the 2022-2023 school year, VAS students won 1,256 awards in academic and talent competitions at all levels, 2.6 times higher than the previous year. Including: 102 international awards, 326 national awards, 327 city-level awards and 502 district-level awards, all 2-3 times higher than in 2021-2022.

The family is very happy and satisfied," Ms. Chau Luong Xuan, mother of Nguyen Gia Hung (grade 9) and Nguyen Gia Toan (grade 7) emotionally shared at the closing ceremony of the school year of VAS.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Truong, the father of the two children, also said: "When we learned that Gia Hung achieved 8.0 IELTS, Gia Toan participated in the World Scholar's Cup and won many awards with his teammates, the family was very happy because the children are increasingly improving not only academically but also physically and mentally, knowing how to care for friends, developing emotional and social skills, and being more community-oriented."
