Notably, the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" has had a positive impact on the poverty reduction program, job creation, creating changes in economic restructuring, restructuring of crops and livestock, changing occupations in rural areas, gradually exploiting the potential and strengths of labor as well as resources in farmers, contributing to increasing production value, improving the material and spiritual life of farmers. On average, each year, the whole province has 252 thousand farmer households registered, of which over 129 thousand households have achieved the title of good farmer households in production and business at all levels. From the emulation movement, many typical examples of good farmers in production and business have emerged; many grassroots Association officials are dedicated, dynamic, creative, striving to overcome difficulties, sticking with the movement, building a strong Association base. Typical examples are the Farmers' Association of Phuc Thang commune (Nghia Hung); Mr. Dinh Van Ngon, farmer association member of An Khang hamlet, Truc Cuong commune (Truc Ninh); Mr. Vu Xuan Kien, farmer association member of Hai Hung commune (Hai Hau); Ms. Ngo Thi Dung, farmer association member of residential group No. 3, Lieu De town (Nghia Hung); Mr. Tran Van Khoa, farmer association member of My Ha commune (Nam Dinh city); Mr. Pham Duc Thuan, farmer association member of Minh Tan commune (Vu Ban); Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen, farmer association head of hamlet 7, Nam Van ward (Nam Dinh city); Ms. Dinh Thi Dung, farmer association head of Hai Dong hamlet, Giao Hai commune (Giao Thuy); Ms. Vu Thi Hang, farmer association head of hamlet 10, Tho Nghiep commune (Xuan Truong)... Not only competing in good production and business, farmer association officials and members always care about the lives of poor members, those in difficult circumstances, and policy families, contributing to reducing the poverty rate and ensuring social security. Over the past 10 years, the Association at all levels and good production and business households have directly supported thousands of breeds of all kinds, thousands of working days and billions of VND for households in terms of breeds, capital, techniques and production experience; created jobs for workers; supported the purchase and consumption of products for production households in the same industry, thereby creating income and improving living standards. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year, the Association at all levels directly presented 300-500 gifts, worth 200-500 thousand VND/gift to farmer members in difficult circumstances; coordinated with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Nam Dinh province branch and Bac Nam Dinh branch to present over 2,000 gifts, worth more than 1 billion VND in total to poor farmer members in districts and cities. The Association at all levels also mobilized contributions to support the construction of the "Farmer's Shelter" Fund, which raised over 3 billion VND, upgraded 44 houses, presented 16 breeding cows and 20 sows to farmers in difficult circumstances; presented 112 bicycles and 300 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to primary school students who are children of poor farmers who have overcome difficulties to study well...
In addition, many other outstanding activities have been paid attention to and regularly implemented by the Farmers' Association at all levels, such as: participating in building advanced and model new rural areas, building cultural life, participating in ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and government... The Association has mobilized members and farmers to participate in implementing criteria for building new rural areas; supporting and building infrastructure and cultural institutions; undertaking specific tasks in building advanced and model new rural areas; implementing criteria for protecting the rural environment; developing collective economic models... As a result, over the past 10 years, farmer members have continued to donate 74,338m2 of land; contributed 10,629 working days and contributed over 12 billion VND to build rural infrastructure. 100% of the Association's bases and 100% of its branches have specific models and jobs to participate in building advanced and model new rural areas. Typical models include "Model Garden", "Collecting pesticide packaging in the field", planting and caring for farmer trees, "Collecting, classifying and processing organic waste into fertilizer at home"...
In order to promote the typical individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Farmers' Association at all levels in the province always focuses on innovating propaganda work, contributing to spreading to all cadres and farmers' association members in the province the content of President Ho Chi Minh's viewpoints and thoughts on the Association's work, the role and position of farmers in the revolutionary cause. Every year, the Association at all levels organizes hundreds of propaganda sessions on the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's legal policies in conjunction with studying Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW for thousands of cadres and members. The Association at all levels also regularly introduces, selects and proposes rewards for exemplary collectives and individuals in implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo. In 2022, the Farmers' Association of Giao Hai commune (Giao Thuy) was voted and introduced as an outstanding example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on "The will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country", and was one of the groups awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Head of the Central Propaganda Department for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. In 2023, the Farmers' Association of Phuc Thang commune (Nghia Hung); Mr. Dinh Van Ngon, Truc Cuong commune (Truc Ninh); Mr. Pham Duc Thuan, Minh Tan commune (Vu Ban) were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Nam Dinh. In 2024, Mr. To Van Manh, a member of the Farmers' Association of Trung hamlet, Phu Hung commune (Y Yen) was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. In 2025, the Farmers' Association at all levels nominated Mr. Tran Van Cong, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hai An commune (Hai Hau) as a typical example of learning and following Uncle Ho, and proposed the Provincial People's Committee to award a Certificate of Merit.
In the coming time, the Farmers' Union at all levels in the province will continue to effectively implement Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in conjunction with emulation movements, so that studying and following Uncle Ho becomes a regular activity, with a widespread influence among cadres and farmers' union members throughout the province. Thereby, the typical collectives and individuals following Uncle Ho's example will be increasingly replicated, and the Farmers' Union at all levels will be proposed for commendation and reward.
