TPO - "Lien Phong Romantic" Tran Minh Nhut, Johnny Tri Nguyen's student, convincingly won against Tran Trong Kim, the boxer nicknamed "Golden Haired Lion King" at the professional MMA competition Gods of Martial Arts (GMA) - God of Martial Arts Vietnam 2025.

On the evening of May 17, GMA Arena (HCMC) was bustling with the event Gods of Martial Arts (GMA) 04 – Gods of Martial Arts Vietnam 2025, opening a series of 8 major events of the year, including 4 domestic and 4 international tournaments.

GMA 04 brings together 9 professional MMA couples, attracting a large audience with eye-catching matches.

The highlight of the match night was the impressive victory of Tran Minh Nhut (Lien Phong Martial Arts School) against Tran Trong Kim (PFC Phu Quoc) in the Super Fight Catch Weight (60kg) match.

Tran Minh Nhut is a student of Johnny Tri Nguyen, nicknamed “Lien Phong the Wanderer”. Meanwhile, Tran Trong Kim is nicknamed “Kim Mao Su Vuong”, a famous MMA fighter in Vietnam.

After a stalemate, Minh Nhut took advantage of his opponent's mistake, quickly controlled his back and choked him from behind with a precise rear-naked choke, forcing Tran Trong Kim to tap out (hands apologizing) in the first round.

This victory is proof that Tran Minh Nhut, despite being 36 years old, is still the main face of Lien Phong's squad.

In the remaining matches, in the Cobra (55kg) category, Pham Thanh Phong of No.1 Muay lost to Pham Van Hao of Dat Cang Tiger by a technical choke knockout; in the Black Leopard (63kg) category, Vo Cao Tung of VCT Fight was also defeated by Pham Kim Quoc Huy Fighter MMA Da Nang with a TKO in the 23rd second of round 1; in the Golden Rooster (57kg) category, Ly Duol of Nam An MMA only lasted 1 minute after an armbar from K-pa Thuan of SSC Club; in the Manh Ho (68kg) category, Pham Anh Duc of Leo Jiujitsu had a sweet revenge against Vu Hai of Tiger MMA with a submission in 1 minute 45 seconds in round 1.
