Hoi An trains in management and use of trade and service trademarks

The training was attended by more than 70 trainees from the Women's Union, the Farmers' Association of Hoi An City, the Hoi An Market Management Board; the People's Committees and Farmers' Associations of communes and wards; owners and members using collective trademarks and certified trademarks; and production and business establishments in the city.

The trainees were introduced by the representative of the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) with an overview of intellectual property and the management and use of collective trademarks and certification trademarks. The Economic Department of Hoi An City informed about the current status of management and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the city in recent times.

From 2021 to present, the Economic Department of Hoi An City has advised and supported 15 production establishments in registering regular trademarks. Since 2006, the unit has been building 12 trademarks for the city's typical products, including 1 certified trademark and 11 collective trademarks.
