Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An City, along with representatives of the leaders of relevant units.
During the meeting, Hoi An City exchanged and shared information related to the management, preservation, and promotion of the value of the Hoi An Ancient Town World Cultural Heritage site; and the research and restoration of Hoi An Ancient Town architectural works carried out by the city in recent years.
The focus includes the work of demarcating protected areas, advising on the issuance and implementation of regulations for managing the heritage site; restoring historical relics and granting permits for construction and repair in the Old Quarter; ticket sales for tours; promoting tangible and intangible cultural values, and developing products to serve tourists visiting the heritage site…
The leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee highly appreciated Hoi An's experience and activities in preserving and promoting the value of the Hoi An Ancient Town World Cultural Heritage site. During this visit, the delegation also surveyed the ancient town to gain a better understanding of heritage management and preservation efforts in Hoi An.
