On July 25, the Central working delegation led by Mr. Tran Sy Pha - Head of the Social Work and Disaster Management Department - was present in Nghe An to visit, encourage and give relief goods to people in remote communes that suffered heavy damage such as: Nhan Hoa, Anh Son, Con Cuong and Tuong Duong.

The total value of this relief aid is nearly 650 million VND, including: 200 million VND in cash to support families with people killed, injured, or suffering severe damage to their homes, livelihoods, and food; 300 boxes of essential goods, transported from the Central warehouse in Hanoi ; 470 boxes of P&G water purifier powder (equivalent to 112,800 packages), meeting the temporary clean water needs for 7 days for about 4,000 households in severely flooded communes.

The relief activities demonstrate the spirit of "Wherever people need, there is the Red Cross", contributing to spreading humanitarian values, the spirit of sharing and accompanying people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives./.
