The Executive Committee of the Ben Tre City Business Association, Term III (2022 - 2027) organized a business coffee session in June 2025 to summarize the association's activities in the mid-term, inform members about the local merger situation, the plan to dissolve the association and discuss the plan of activities in the coming time.
Chairman of Ben Tre City Business Association Nguyen Truong Hai opened the coffee session with many emotions, because this is the last session, before the Association officially closes its journey of activities in the context of the upcoming merger of administrative units. We have gone through a journey that is not too long, but enough to create a close, affectionate and responsible relationship, the contributions of enterprises are not only for the association, but also for the development of the city. I believe that even though the association no longer exists, the relationships that have been built, the values of the conclusions will continue to be preserved and spread in the new journey after the merger of administrative units".
Accordingly, the total number of members of the Ben Tre City Business Association is now 70. In the period of 2022 - 2025, the Association has actively participated in discussion activities and meetings with businesses organized by the Provincial People's Committee and departments, through which businesses absorb policies to convey information to members. The Association maintains activities to disseminate training courses on skills and knowledge organized by reputable units. In addition, it regularly organizes activities to celebrate members' birthdays, in order to create an atmosphere of caring and sharing, while helping to spread the brands of businesses and stimulate consumption within the Association.
Every year, the Association organizes regular business meetings to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, along with business coffee programs, so that businesses have the opportunity to have policy dialogues with city leaders and sectors in resolving difficulties in production and business activities. This is also an opportunity for units to connect with trade, display and introduce products, thereby promoting effective business activities.
Ben Tre City Business Association is always interested in promoting trade within and outside the province such as: exchanging with Giong Trom District Business Association, consulting some good practices and signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation; organizing exchange programs with CBSC Club (this is a club of manufacturing, trading and service enterprises serving the construction industry in Vietnam).
During the half-term period from 2022 - 2025, the Association has carried out social security work with a total budget of more than 250 million VND, to give Tet gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Ben Tre city, give gifts to poor children on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival, support victims affected by storms...
Awarding certificates of merit from Ben Tre City Business Association to 19 groups that actively contribute to social security activities and association movements.
On this occasion, Chairman of Ben Tre City Business Association Nguyen Truong Hai commended and awarded 11 certificates of merit to individuals and groups that have made many contributions to the association's activities. At the same time, certificates of merit were awarded to 19 groups that actively contributed to social security activities and the association's movement.
Informing members at the coffee meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association Tran Van Duc - Chairman of the Board of Directors, and General Director of Ben Tre Coconut Investment Joint Stock Company said: It is expected that the Vinh Long Provincial Business Association will be established, with 3 branches in Vinh Long, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre. Each province will have a Vice Chairman of the Association to run the local branch.
The Association will continue to be the center for information, connection and communication of the Party and State's policies and guidelines to businesses. It is a place for businesses to share information, management, operation and development experiences. At the same time, the Association will also support businesses in areas such as finance, market and technology.
Currently, the business situation is facing many difficulties due to global economic fluctuations, inflation, and war. However, new policies such as Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo , issued on May 4, 2025 on private economic development and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation have created opportunities for businesses to develop, especially private businesses.
Chairman of the Provincial Business Association Tran Van Duc expressed his belief that the Provincial Business Association apparatus after the merger will be stronger, tighter and closer to businesses. The role of the Provincial Business Association will continue to support businesses to overcome difficulties and take advantage of new opportunities.
