Deployed since 2023, the project "Youth Green Area" implemented by Xuan Tho Commune Youth Union in the area of the Commune People's Committee Hall and the Commune Martyrs' Cemetery Memorial has contributed to beautifying the landscape of the commune on the outskirts of Da Lat City. To carry out the project, the Youth Union mobilized union members and young people to prepare land, make paths, plant many trees and flowers. At the same time, it invested in an irrigation system, assigned branches to take turns taking care of the trees, watering and cleaning the surrounding area. With a brilliant space of daisies, rhododendrons, lantern flowers... blooming all year round, this project of Xuan Tho Commune Youth Union won First Prize at the "Green, Clean, Beautiful" Contest in 2024 organized by Da Lat City.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vien - Secretary of Xuan Tho Commune Youth Union said that the "Youth Green Area" project is one of the specific ways for the youth of the commune to join hands with the locality to build a new rural area. In addition to the green areas, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the Commune Youth Union has built 6 other meaningful projects, including Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Safe Road; Safe - Green - Clean - Beautiful School Gate; 2 Playgrounds for Children; Book Library for Children; Clean Water with Children; Smart Book Library project. Along with the movement activities, Xuan Tho Commune Youth Union also actively accompanies young people on their journey to establish a career and develop the economy .

Mr. Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said that the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has integrated activities to build new rural areas into the annual Youth Union and youth movement programs, as well as in major programs and campaigns such as: Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, peak campaigns to contribute to building new rural areas, civilized urban areas... Focusing on communes striving to reach the new rural target within the year. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union issued the Project of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lam Dong province joining hands to protect the environment, respond to climate change in the period of 2023 - 2027; regularly organizing Green Sunday and Volunteer Saturday activities to raise awareness and actions of young union members in building new rural areas.

Promoting proactiveness and creativity in implementing new rural construction programs, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province has carried out more than 300 youth projects at all levels, over 1,000 youth tasks with a total value of up to hundreds of billions of VND, attracting the active participation of a large number of young union members and people. Specifically, participating in landscape construction and rural environmental protection, the province's young union members have carried out a series of meaningful activities such as collecting and treating waste, dredging canals, eliminating black pollution spots, etc. In particular, Lam Dong's youth have made a clear mark by planting more than 2 million new trees. 137/137 communes, wards and towns in the province have effectively maintained the model of "Green - clean - beautiful - safe self-managed Youth Road", helping to raise community awareness and create a modern and sustainable rural appearance.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also implemented many infrastructure construction activities, especially in disadvantaged localities, remote areas, such as repairing and renovating 91 km of rural roads; building 48 km of rural road lighting works with a budget of 2.5 billion VND; participating in repairing a village cultural house worth 200 million VND. Many social security activities were also implemented...

Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have also increased the mobilization of young people to participate in cooperative economic models, innovative projects in agriculture, and the application of digital technology in production development. Training and equipping rural youth with knowledge, management skills, and start-ups, helping them become pioneers in local economic development. In particular, participating in digital transformation in building new rural areas, towards smart new rural areas, the province has established and maintained 137 community digital technology groups to support and guide people in using online public services and applying technology in life.
