The price of gold bars at Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) is currently 117.7 million VND for buying and 119.7 million VND for selling, a decrease of 100,000 VND in the buying price and 600,000 VND in the selling price compared to the end of last week. Those who bought gold bars last weekend have now lost up to 2.6 million VND per ounce due to the added difference between the buying and selling prices.
Specifically, the buying price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company remained unchanged at 113.7 million VND, while the selling price decreased by 100,000 VND to 116.2 million VND. Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company reduced the buying price of gold rings by 1.5 million VND to 114.5 million VND and the selling price to 117.5 million VND. This company continues to maintain the highest selling price for gold rings on the market, and the difference between the buying and selling price of gold rings remains high at 3 million VND/ounce. This results in customers buying gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau losing up to 4.5 million VND/ounce.

World gold prices fell to $3,367 per ounce, down $66.5 from the end of last week. The precious metal continued to decline as low US inflation helped the US dollar recover. Despite escalating military tensions in the Middle East, gold prices failed to maintain their upward momentum.
However, many experts and investors still predict that gold prices will rise next week. Specifically, out of 16 analysts participating in Kitco News' survey on the trend of the precious metal, 6 (38%) predicted that gold prices would increase next week; 5 (31%) predicted a decrease, and 5 believed the precious metal would remain stable.
Similarly, in an online survey of 258 individual investors, 138 people (54%) predicted that the price of gold would rise. Conversely, 55 people (21%) predicted a decrease, and the remaining 65 investors (25%) thought that gold would fluctuate sideways.
