Farmers in Thanh Quang commune earn about 455 billion VND from early lychee

According to the People's Committee of Thanh Quang Commune (Thanh Ha), by June 22, the whole commune had harvested 13,000 tons of early lychee, basically finishing the lychee season. With an average selling price of 35,000 VND/kg, farmers in Thanh Quang Commune earned about 455 billion VND.

Thanh Quang commune currently has 700 hectares of lychee, the largest in Thanh Ha district. Farmers mainly grow early lychee including: white egg lychee, thorny lychee, pink lychee and hybrid lychee. Because these lychee teas are harvested early, their prices are higher than main-season lychee.

The entire lychee growing area in Thanh Quang applies VietGAP process to production, of which 50 hectares meet GlobalGAP standards, 70 hectares are certified to VietGAP standards.

Immediately after the harvest, farmers in Thanh Quang commune started cleaning, pruning lychee branches, and fertilizing the lychee trees to help them recover.
