Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association towards a term of innovation and sustainable development

On the afternoon of October 24th, the first Congress of Delegates of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association, for the term 2025-2030, took place with the participation of 90 official delegates, representing officials, members, and farmers throughout the ward.

Attending the Congress were comrades: Truong Van Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association; and leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Gia Nghia ward.

The Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association currently has 18 branches with 1,172 members. During the period 2023-2025, officials, members, and farmers in the ward have strived to overcome difficulties and achieve the set goals.

The emulation movements were implemented enthusiastically, most notably the movement "Farmers excelling in production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty". Every year, the entire ward has 509 households achieving the title of "Farmers excelling in production and business" at various levels; many exemplary households have actively supported 27 members in difficult circumstances with capital, experience, and production techniques, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual assistance within the farming community.

During the past term, officials, members, and farmers of Dong Gia Nghia ward have strived to achieve the set goals.

The Farmers' Association of the ward has supported its members in building 3 greenhouse models for growing cantaloupe with a total area of ​​1,900 m², equipped with an automatic drip irrigation system, bringing high economic efficiency. By September 30, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance of the Farmers' Support Fund in the entire ward reached over 2 billion VND, implementing 6 projects and disbursing loans to 40 households. In addition, the Association also coordinated the management of 417 households borrowing with a total outstanding loan balance of 28.6 billion VND from the Social Policy Bank, contributing to creating conditions for farmers to develop production and stabilize their lives.

With the motto "Unity - Innovation - Integration - Development," for the 2025-2030 term, the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association has set forth 9 targets and 4 tasks and solutions with the goal of promoting its central and core role in the farmers' movement and the construction of new rural areas. The Association will continue to promote the development of collective economic activities, cooperation, and linkages in production; and build a new generation of farmers with political acumen, knowledge, community responsibility, and aspirations for advancement.

Comrade Truong Van Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association, suggested that the action program for the new term should integrate 3 into 1.

Delivering a guiding speech at the Congress, Comrade Truong Van Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association, requested the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of its activities. He emphasized that the action program for the new term should integrate "3 in 1," including the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Lam Dong province, and the Resolutions of the Farmers' Association Congresses at all levels.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen communication efforts on social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook so that members and farmers can easily access information, thereby fostering a spirit of self-reliance and a desire to strive for legitimate wealth.

The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward presented flowers to congratulate the Congress.

In the coming period, the Association needs to focus on organizing vocational training classes and field workshops to help members and farmers access and effectively apply scientific and technical advancements to production, thereby improving productivity, product quality, and increasing income per unit of cultivated land.

Efforts to encourage members to develop safe and organic agricultural production need to be further strengthened, along with providing capital, supplies, and equipment to support farmers in economic development. The association should also focus on establishing and expanding professional branches and farmers' clubs that are suitable to local conditions; and organize regular dialogues to promptly identify and resolve difficulties and obstacles for members at the grassroots level.

The Executive Committee of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association was introduced, assumed their duties, and took a commemorative photo with the delegates.

At the Congress, the Provincial Farmers' Association announced its decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association, term I, consisting of 25 members. Ms. Dang Thi Huong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, was appointed as the Chairwoman of the Ward Farmers' Association for the 2025-2030 term.
