Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association towards a term of innovation and sustainable development

On the afternoon of October 24, the 1st Congress of the Farmers' Association of Dong Gia Nghia Ward, term 2025 - 2030 took place with the participation of 90 official delegates, representing cadres, members, and farmers in the whole ward.

Attending the Congress were comrades: Truong Van Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Farmers' Association; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Gia Nghia ward.

Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association currently has 18 branches with 1,172 members. In the period of 2023 - 2025, the ward's cadres, members and farmers have strived to overcome difficulties and complete the set goals.

Emulation movements were vigorously deployed, in which the most prominent was the movement "Farmers in production and business are good, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably". Every year, the whole ward has 509 households achieving the title of "Farmers in production and business are good" at all levels; many typical households have actively supported 27 members in difficult circumstances with capital, experience and production techniques, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual assistance in the farming community.

During the past term, cadres, members and farmers of Dong Gia Nghia ward have strived to complete the set goals.

The Ward Farmers' Association has supported its members in building 3 models of greenhouses for growing melons with a total area of ​​1,900 m², equipped with an automatic drip irrigation system, bringing high economic efficiency. By September 30, 2025, the total outstanding debt of the Ward Farmers' Support Fund reached over 2 billion VND, implementing 6 projects, disbursing to 40 borrowers. In addition, the Association also coordinated the management of 417 borrowers with a total outstanding debt of 28.6 billion VND from the Social Policy Bank, contributing to creating conditions for farmers to develop production and stabilize their lives.

With the motto "Solidarity - Innovation - Integration - Development", for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association sets out 9 targets and 4 tasks and solutions with the goal of promoting the central and core role in the farmers' movement and the new rural construction. The Association continues to promote the development of collective economy, cooperation and association in production; building new farmers with political mettle, knowledge, community responsibility and aspirations to rise up.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Truong Van Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Farmers' Association, requested the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation. He emphasized that the action program in the new term needs to integrate "3 in 1", including the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, Resolution of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and Resolution of the Farmers' Association Congresses at all levels.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda work on social networking platforms such as Zalo and Facebook so that members and farmers can easily access information, thereby arousing the spirit of self-reliance and the will to rise up to become rich legitimately.

In the coming time, the Association needs to focus on organizing vocational training classes and field workshops to help members and farmers access and effectively apply scientific and technical advances in production, thereby improving productivity, product quality and increasing income per unit of cultivated area.

Awarding the Decision on appointing personnel of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association for the 2025 - 2030 term

The work of mobilizing members to develop safe and organic agricultural production needs to continue to be promoted, along with support for capital, materials and equipment to accompany farmers in economic development. The Association also needs to focus on establishing and expanding professional branches and farmer clubs suitable to local conditions; at the same time, organize regular dialogues to promptly grasp and remove difficulties and obstacles for members right at the grassroots level.

At the Congress, the Provincial Farmers' Association's Decision on appointing the Executive Committee of the Dong Gia Nghia Ward Farmers' Association, Term I, consisting of 25 members, was announced. Ms. Dang Thi Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward Farmers' Association for the 2025-2030 term.
