Women's Union of Lanh Ngoc and Tra Doc communes organized the first women's congress.

(DNO) - On October 2, the Women's Union of Lanh Ngoc and Tra Doc communes held the 1st Women's Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

* At Lanh Ngoc commune , Vice President of the Women's Union of Da Nang city Nguyen Thi Huyen, local leaders and 110 official delegates attended the congress.

During the past term, the Women's Union of Lanh Ngoc commune innovated the content and methods of operation, attracting a large number of members to participate. The Union coordinated with other sectors to organize 18 communication sessions on health care, drowning prevention, domestic violence, fire prevention, etc. for more than 2,000 women.

In economic development, the Association exploited capital from the Social Policy Bank to support 3,150 members with a total outstanding loan of more than 51 billion VND; mobilized the establishment of 3 cooperatives and 2 cooperative groups owned by women, with OCOP products achieving 3 and 4 stars; provided livelihoods to help 18 households escape poverty and near-poverty.

The movements of "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" and "Women participating in building new rural areas" achieved many results. The association planted more than 3km of flower and areca roads; built 3 models of clean houses and beautiful gardens; 12 women's groups to protect the environment and many other models and clubs operated effectively.

Along with that, the association implemented the program "Millions of gifts to share love" to support members in difficulty with a budget of 205 million VND; sponsored 5 students with special circumstances (support of 2 million VND/month/student).

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Lanh Ngoc commune, term I, consisting of 24 members. Ms. Tran Thi Thao was appointed to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of the commune. (NGUYEN HUNG)

* On the same day, the Women's Union of Tra Doc commune held the 1st Women's Congress, term 2025 - 2030, with 100 delegates attending, representing more than 1,400 members.

During the last term, the Commune Women's Union developed 130 new members, maintaining over 75% of members participating in activities. The Union supported 16 households to escape poverty, 40 households to implement the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean"; sponsored 3 children with special difficulties; at the same time launched the movement "Accompanying women in the border areas" to raise more than 23 million VND. Many emulation models such as "Solidarity rice jar", "Raising piggy banks to save", "Collecting scrap to support poor women" ... spread effectively.

In addition, the association focuses on applying information technology, setting up Zalo and Facebook pages for the association to promote and connect members. Coordinated vocational training for 76 women, and introduced jobs at garment companies.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Tra Doc commune sets a goal of helping at least 3 households escape poverty every year, 90% of members use e-banking services, 100% of union officials are equipped with digital skills...
