On July 12th, the Provincial Federation of Labor (LĐLĐ) held its Fourth Executive Committee Meeting, 17th term, 2023-2028, to review trade union work in the first six months of the year, implement key tasks for the last six months, and summarize the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2024.
The leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives that achieved outstanding results in organizing activities during Workers' Month.
In the first six months of the year, the activities of trade unions at all levels in the province continued to improve and achieved many positive results in various aspects of their work. Trade unions at all levels coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the implementation of policies and regulations for workers in 264 units and enterprises; they also chaired and participated with the Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations at the same level in monitoring 12 units and enterprises regarding the signing and implementation of labor contracts and workplace democracy regulations.
In the past six months, the entire province has seen 49 collective labor agreements amended, supplemented, re-signed, and newly signed, with many provisions more beneficial to workers than those stipulated by law; many units have signed cooperation agreements on implementing welfare programs for union members and workers.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, trade unions at all levels organized numerous activities to care for the material and spiritual well-being of their members and workers. From trade union funds and other legal sources, trade unions at all levels provided support to over 148,100 members and workers with a total amount exceeding 59.1 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor Unions implemented the "Trade Union Tet Market 2024" program through an e-commerce platform, attracting over 1,600 members; providing over 100 million VND in support to members and workers whose working hours were reduced or whose labor contracts were terminated due to reduced orders from businesses.
During Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels provided over 4,500 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, including those who suffered work accidents or illnesses, totaling over 1.8 billion VND. The Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction and repair of 11 "Trade Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances, and repaired 3 official residences for several units in the province; disbursed loans from the "Loan Assistance Fund for Trade Union Members" for 11 economic development projects of union members; and coordinated with the Department of Health to organize the "Health Care Day for Union Members and Workers" in 2024 with a total budget of over 7 billion VND.
In the first six months of the year, the province established 38 new grassroots trade unions and admitted over 7,600 new union members. Emulation movements to implement the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress at all levels and the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union were widely implemented from the provincial to the grassroots level. Trade unions at all levels did a good job of disseminating information and mobilizing cadres and members to participate in the online competition "Resolutions of the Trade Union Congress and Actions of Union Members and Workers"; as a result, Phu Tho province ranked 9th nationwide with over 27,900 union members registering to participate.

In the last six months of the year, trade unions at all levels will continue to implement activities to ensure the planned programs are carried out; proactively grasp the situation, coordinate and participate in promptly resolving issues arising in labor relations, contributing to stabilizing production for enterprises, ensuring jobs and income for workers and ensuring security and order in the province; at the same time, promoting patriotic emulation movements and activities to care for the practical interests of union members and workers...
At the conference, delegates participated in discussions, sharing the advantages and difficulties encountered in implementing trade union activities at the grassroots level, and contributed ideas to improve the effectiveness of trade union work in the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives for their outstanding achievements in organizing activities during the 2024 Workers' Month.
