Conference for the handover of leadership positions at the Provincial Military Command

On April 5th, the Standing Committee of the Military Region Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee held a handover ceremony for the position of Commander of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Military Command. Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, and Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 5, co-chaired the conference.

Attending the meeting were Major General Cao Phi Hung, Deputy Commander of the Military Region; Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee; and Party committees and commanders of agencies and units.

According to a decision by the Ministry of National Defence , Colonel Luu Xuan Phuong, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, has been transferred to Military Region 5 to assume the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region, handing over the position of Commander to Colonel Nguyen Tuy, former Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Military Command.

At the handover ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Military Command approved the handover minutes regarding the work and operating budget of the Provincial Military Command.

Speaking at the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary congratulated Colonel Luu Xuan Phuong and Colonel Nguyen Tuy. He also acknowledged and highly appreciated Colonel Luu Xuan Phuong's contributions to advising the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee in leading and directing the implementation of military and national defense tasks; directing and building the Party Committee to successfully complete its tasks; and building a strong provincial armed forces in the past period.

The Provincial Party Secretary expressed confidence that in his new position, Comrade Nguyen Tuy, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, will build upon the achievements of the provincial armed forces in the past; uphold a high sense of responsibility, and continue to work together with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee in unity and harmony to effectively advise, coordinate, lead, and direct the implementation of military and national defense tasks in the coming period.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of comrades Luu Xuan Phuong and Nguyen Tuy; and expressed his hope that in their new positions, they would utilize their abilities and practical experience; constantly cultivate moral qualities, improve their skills, and effectively advise the Party Committee, the Commander of the Military Region, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in leading and directing the building of the Military Region's armed forces, and the building and consolidation of a strong national defense system, a national defense posture linked with a people's security posture and a people's border defense system in Ninh Thuan province, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
