On the Petrolimex side, there were Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh; Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union Nguyen Thanh Son; Leaders of the Group's Board of Directors and Leaders of the Petroleum Companies: Region I (Petrolimex Hanoi ) and Ha Son Binh (Petrolimex Ha Son Binh).
At the meeting, the Board of Directors' Support Team to implement the Project on organizing and rearranging petroleum companies under the Group (Team 612) reported the results achieved under the drastic and urgent direction of Steering Committee 725. To specify the direction of the Ministry of Finance, the Resolution of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, the Group issued Official Dispatch No. 1926/PLX-HĐQT to all petroleum companies in the industry to guide the organization and rearrangement of petroleum companies under the Group (with the outlines for merger, transfer, new establishment, etc.). By August 26, 2025, all units subject to organization and rearrangement had agreed and sent the Project to the Board of Directors of the Group for consideration and appraisal. Evidence for the orientations and instructions in Official Dispatch 1926 of the Board of Directors of the Group is very suitable to the actual situation at the Group as well as the humane nature of the policy of organizing and arranging Companies according to the administrative boundaries of the new Province/City.
The Group has carried out extensive communication on the policy of organizing and arranging affiliated petroleum companies. The message to all employees - workers to understand that the arrangement of affiliated petroleum companies of the Group according to the new provincial/municipal boundaries is a major policy, in line with the policy of the Party, the State and in line with the development orientation of the Group towards streamlining, effectiveness, efficiency, reducing overlap, reducing costs, increasing efficiency and increasing competitiveness of the system to create unity, consensus, and high determination from the Group to its member units.
The Board of Directors of the Group has passed a Resolution approving the Project to merge Ha Son Binh Petroleum Company and Petrolimex Hanoi One Member Co., Ltd. (this is the first unit to have the Project approved). Accordingly, in the capital, only Petrolimex Hanoi One Member Co., Ltd. is in charge of petroleum trading.
According to the set roadmap, by October 1, 2025, the merger of units at Petrolimex will be completed. With the practical experience gained in the Hanoi area, the Group is determined to successfully implement the Project to organize and arrange the Petroleum Companies under Petrolimex according to the plan set out in accordance with the requirements in the conclusion of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee summarizing Resolution 18, ensuring maximum stability of the organizational apparatus, minimizing disruption in units, minimizing impacts on business activities, especially ensuring continuous supply of petroleum for the economy.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel - Ministry of Finance Tran Thi Tuyet Lan highly appreciated Petrolimex's efforts in proactively restructuring according to the general policy; At the same time, emphasizing that the implementation must be strict, in accordance with the provisions of the law, ensuring publicity and transparency in finance and assets. In addition, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance requested Petrolimex to develop a detailed roadmap, report progress regularly and have a plan to promptly handle arising issues; In particular, it is necessary to put the legitimate rights of employees first, properly implement the commitments made, quickly stabilize the organization, ensure continuous business operations, contribute to maintaining energy security and stabilizing the petroleum market for the capital./.
