On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), from April 25 to 27, the Provincial Journalists Association organized a program to return to the source and volunteer activities in the provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Binh, and Ha Tinh.
At the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province, the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Hai Phong Branch to award 87 scholarships to students under the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards". Accordingly, 76 students received support of 1 million VND/scholarship; 11 students received support of 2 million VND/scholarship. The total value of this scholarship is 98 million VND. In addition, at Trieu Van Border Guard Station, Trieu Van commune, Trieu Phong district (Quang Tri), the Provincial Journalists Association directly supported 2 million VND in cash for students in difficult circumstances; awarded 5 million VND to Trieu Van Border Guard Station.
During the program, the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at: Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic (Quang Tri); visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island in Quang Trach district (Quang Binh); offered incense at Dong Loc T-junction National Special Historical Relic, Can Loc district (Ha Tinh).
