The inspection and examination are to promptly grasp the situation of the organization of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year to ensure that the exam takes place safely, seriously, in accordance with the admission regulations and guiding documents of the Department of Education and Training; detect limitations and inadequacies in regulations related to the exam to propose to competent authorities for amendments and supplements; promote positive factors, contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management activities on inspection and examination work. At the same time, prevent, detect, handle violations and help agencies, organizations and individuals comply with legal regulations related to the organization of exams.

Previously, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued a plan for admission to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year, each candidate must take 3 exams: Literature (120 minutes), Math (120 minutes), English (60 minutes). All exams are scored on a 10-point scale and have a coefficient of 1. The exam is expected to take place on June 3-4, 2025.

Admission review and announcement of admission results before July 31, 2025. For admission to Lam Son High School for the Gifted, each candidate must take 4 exams (3 common exams of the public high school exam for grade 10 are Literature, Math, English and 1 specialized subject exam according to registered wishes).

The time for the specialized subject exam is 150 minutes; the exam score is calculated with a coefficient of 3; each specialized subject has a separate exam according to the secondary school subject program, the exam content ensures the selection of students with talent in the specialized subject.
