Nhu Xuan: Mobilizing 585 households to donate 219,600m2 of land to build roads and rural infrastructure

On the afternoon of May 28, Nhu Xuan District Party Committee held a conference to review the implementation of Directive No. 24-CT/TU dated July 12, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Campaign for People to Donate Land to Invest in Building Roads and Rural Infrastructure Construction Projects and to commend outstanding individuals and collectives.

The campaign for people to donate land to invest in renovating, upgrading and improving rural infrastructure aims to mobilize and encourage people to share responsibility with the State in investing in expanding and upgrading rural roads and building their homeland. The movement has mobilized the entire political system to participate and has been responded to by people in all villages and neighborhoods in the district.

Conference overview

With the motto "Do easy things first, do difficult things later", "Party members go first, the country follows", arousing the spirit of community, volunteerism and self-awareness of each citizen, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the whole district has had 585 households donating 219,600m2 ^of land, reaching 105.3% of the plan for the period 2024-2025; dismantling 122 works, relocating 59 electric poles to invest in building roads and rural infrastructure construction items.

In the period of 2024-2025, the district has focused on directing and implementing the construction and execution of approved projects, achieving results exceeding the set targets; the number of invested traffic projects requiring land donation in the whole district is 65 projects. Of which, the length of the completed traffic route is 70.8km. The movement of donating land to open roads has been supported by the people, many households actively donated land, some households voluntarily dismantled the entire house in use to work with the Party Committee, government, and local authorities to clear the corridor for traffic roads, such as Mr. Le Nhan Truong's family, Lien Hiep village, Hoa Quy commune donated ^60m2 of residential land, dismantled a ^75m2 house, 85m of fence with a total value of 285 million VND; Mr. Le Phuc Huy's family, Thinh Lac village donated ^80m2 of residential land, dismantled a ^50m2 house; 25m fence with total value of 260 million VND.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Luong Thi Hoa, Secretary of the District Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the district in implementing Directive No. 24-CT/TU dated July 12, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the Campaign for People to Donate Land to Invest in Building Roads and Rural Infrastructure Construction Items.

To more effectively implement the Campaign in the coming time, the Secretary of the District Party Committee of Nhu Xuan requested that Party committees, authorities, sectors, organizations, localities, agencies, units, especially the new communes, reorganize their apparatus, promote a higher sense of responsibility, promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations, focus on leadership and direction to seriously implement key tasks: Continue to promote propaganda work to raise awareness, sense of responsibility, role and importance of donating land for roads and public works, associated with the work of building new rural areas, socio -economic development, the ultimate goal is also to improve the quality of life of the people.

Focus on propagating, disseminating, and thoroughly and thoroughly grasping Directive No. 24-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the District Plan in conjunction with the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, policies, and State laws on new rural construction to cadres, party members, union members, association members, and all classes of people. Step up propaganda and commendation of exemplary collectives and individuals who have made many positive contributions to the implementation of the land donation movement, creating a widespread influence to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Movement.

Comrade Le Hong Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Comrade Luong Thi Hoa, Secretary of Nhu Xuan District Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals.

At the conference, 16 collectives and 16 individuals with achievements in implementing the Campaign for People to Donate Land to Invest in Renovating, Upgrading, and Renovating Infrastructure, focusing on roads in rural and urban areas in the district in a synchronous and modern direction for the period 2024 - 2030 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee.
