On May 30, the Market Management Department of Khanh Hoa province coordinated with the Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of Foreign-Invested Enterprises in Vietnam (VACIP) to organize a training conference on distinguishing genuine and counterfeit goods in 2025. Attending were representatives of the Department of Science and Technology, the Regional Customs Department XIII, the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy , Smuggling, and Environment - Provincial Police.

Here, representatives of the VACIP Association and a number of foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam introduced an overview of the situation of counterfeit goods; skills to distinguish genuine and counterfeit goods for products; the current status of trademark infringement; identification signs, procedures for handling violations... In addition, delegates discussed difficulties encountered in distinguishing genuine, counterfeit and poor quality goods; protecting the legitimate rights of consumers...
Through the conference, the aim is to improve the professional quality and expertise of the staff, civil servants in market management and those working in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, protecting intellectual property rights, especially the skills to identify trademarks, how to distinguish genuine goods from counterfeit goods; improve the work of inspecting and controlling the market and handling cases related to counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights...
