Ms. Ho Thi Hai - Head of the City's Department of Agriculture and Environment said that on March 27, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee approved the Green Transformation and Green Growth Project of Nha Trang City 2024 - 2030, with 51 targets and 52 projects, towards a green, civilized, modern, and sustainably developed urban area. The development of the Green Value System Handbook is one of the 52 projects and one of the key tasks to build a green lifestyle for city residents. Along with the handbook, VinUni University and the City People's Committee also piloted the Green Lifestyle Virtual Assistant software to promote and answer questions about environmentally friendly lifestyles. Ms. Truong Thi Loan - Head of the Front Committee of Group 1 Phuoc Trung (Phuoc Long Ward) said that for a long time, thanks to the dissemination of information from superiors or self-study, women in the group have actively promoted environmental sanitation, waste classification, health protection, energy saving, etc. If there were a manual, the propaganda work would be more favorable.

In fact, before the Green Values Handbook was issued, the city had many models and activities to preserve the environment. Since September 2022, the "Used Battery Collection Cabinet" model of the Farmers' Association of Phuoc Long Ward has collected nearly 200kg of old batteries, contributing to effectively spreading the message "Collect old batteries - Receive a green life". The model has been replicated in Tan Lap Ward (now Tan Tien Ward), Van Thanh Ward (now Van Thang Ward), Vinh Thanh Commune... Waste collection models such as: "Small House - Million Hearts", "Green Action - Clean Streets, Exchange Plastic Waste for Gifts" of localities in the city have also been responded to by the people. Self-managed roads that are bright - green - clean - beautiful are maintained, contributing to "greening" the city.

According to Ms. Hai, the Green Values Handbook and virtual assistant software help people better understand the importance of preserving and regenerating the natural environment, easily applying positive changes, forming an environmentally friendly lifestyle, sustainable consumption and environmental protection; arousing the spirit of creativity, proactively "living green", making "greening" a standard of living and working, contributing to spreading green values. The proposals in the handbook are compiled from domestic and foreign projects to raise awareness and promote carbon emission reduction. However, the important thing is still the way people implement it. The city's leaders have directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate the dissemination of the handbook and Virtual Assistant software in many forms, such as organizing a green lifestyle contest; renovating waste collection points into green, clean areas; exchanging plastic waste for gifts...
