Passionate about clean agriculture and always looking for new varieties of seedlings, in 2024, Mr. Le Van Binh - Director of Nga Hai Cooperative (Xuan My, Nghi Xuan) learned and decided to test planting 1,000m2 of Ha Den grape variety. After the first trial season and the harvest of the first grapes at the end of 2024, Mr. Binh realized the positive directions from the model. In early 2025, he decided to expand the grape growing area to 4,000m2 of grapes with 2,000 trees. Grapes are harvested twice a year, in May and October. From pollination to harvest is about 70 days.
These days, Ha Den grapes at Nga Hai Cooperative are entering the first harvest of 2025. The expected yield is more than 1 ton of grapes from 500 grape trees. 2,000 newly planted grape trees are expected to be harvested at the end of 2025.
According to Mr. Binh, the Ha Den grape variety is very difficult to grow and requires high care techniques. To have beautiful bunches of grapes of standard size, it is necessary to regularly prune the fruit, and remove the fruits that are pressed against each other while they are still green. In addition, there must be technical measures to regulate temperature, humidity, light, and fertilize...
To help the grapes grow well, Mr. Binh built a system of greenhouses and trellises, and applied high technology, drip irrigation systems... When the grapes are ripe, to avoid harmful insects, Mr. Binh has to wrap each bunch of grapes.
Black Summer Grapes are green when young, gradually turning light purple when ripe and turning dark purple when ripe.
Grape stems begin to turn woody and can be harvested.
Ripe Black Summer Grapes are dark purple, thick-skinned, fragrant, sweet, and organically grown, making them popular with consumers.
With a selling price of 150,000 VND/kg, Ha Den grapes are purchased by traders and consumers at the garden.
Ha Den Vineyard of Nga Hai Cooperative is also a destination for tourists to visit and experience. This method both introduces and promotes products and creates conditions for tourists to visit and check-in in the vineyard.
Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Thu, a tourist experiencing the vineyard, shared: "I am very impressed with Mr. Binh's Ha Den vineyard. It used to be a barren land, but under his hands, many new fruit tree models have been successfully implemented. This model not only brings an interesting experience space but also provides clean food, so I really like it. When I have free time, I often come with my children and friends to take photos, experience, and buy grapes to enjoy."
Nga Hai Cooperative has always been a pioneer in bringing new varieties of seedlings to grow and applying high technology to agricultural production. This time, with the Ha Den grape growing model, Mr. Le Van Binh has brought a new direction in production. The initial effectiveness of Mr. Binh's Ha Den grape growing model has contributed to motivating and encouraging people to change the structure and diversify crops. This is considered a new direction in agricultural production aiming at the goal of safe production; at the same time meeting the needs of consumers for clean products.
