The “Sustainable Urban Food” project, sponsored by WWF, was approved by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province in Decision No. 2221/QD-UBND dated September 13, 2024. The project aims to contribute to the implementation of the province's climate change response plan through reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the food sector; implementation period is from September 2024 to December 2025.

After 2 years of implementation, the project has been basically completed, meeting the set goals and achieving many remarkable results such as improving awareness and consumer behavior of the community in Dong Ha ward and Nam Dong Ha ward.

Stakeholders, especially businesses and cooperatives in the food supply chain, have a clearer understanding of building a sustainable food system. The project has conducted research on “Roadmap for transforming the food system in Quang Tri province towards sustainability”; helping people understand and comply with the law on environmental protection and climate change response.
