On the afternoon of June 23, the 2023 Quang Tri Province Standing Militia Squadron Sports Festival organized by the Military Region 4 Command was a great success. This is a unit directed by the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army to serve as a pilot to gain experience and organize sports festivals for standing militia squadron units across the country.
After 2 days of exciting competition, 107 athletes completed the on-land competitions, including: Flag salute, team review; AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1; militia and self-defense martial arts performance; 3,000m armed run. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded flags to 3 ship crews that won the first, second, and third prizes; and presented certificates of merit to 12 individuals with high achievements at the Sports Festival.
The sports festival has contributed to improving the training level, exploiting and mastering weapons and technical equipment, training physical strength, building a disciplined and ready-to-mobilize order to successfully complete all tasks of officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri Province's Standing Militia Squadron.
