Opening of the Sports Festival to welcome the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central Organizations

For the first time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a sports festival gathering many outstanding athletes from departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the Central level to compete in 12 events.

On the morning of September 20, at the Ba Dinh Sports Center (Hanoi), the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held the opening ceremony of the Sports Festival to welcome the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, term 2025-2030.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung said that the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations for the 2025-2030 term is a political event of profound significance, marking a new step in the process of building, consolidating and enhancing the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

These are sports that not only train physical strength, endurance, and flexible reflexes, but also clearly demonstrate team spirit, coordination and cohesion among athletes.

"The organization of this sports festival not only aims to improve the spiritual life and health of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, but also is an opportunity for departments and units to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to consolidating the great solidarity bloc between departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the Central", Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized.

After the opening ceremony, the teams entered the tug of war competition.

According to the Organizing Committee, during the 2 days of the sports festival, teams will compete in the following sports: pickleball, table tennis, tug of war with 13 competition events for all ages. The prize structure includes 13 first prizes, 13 second prizes, 26 third prizes, and 5 special prizes.

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, term 2025-2030 took place on September 22 and 23 in Hanoi , with the participation of 350 delegates.
