PVF Youth Football Training Center in Nghia Tru Commune ( Hung Yen ) has just been chosen as the construction site for the PVF Hung Yen stadium project - a project expected to become the largest stadium in Vietnam, with a capacity of up to 60,000 seats upon completion. PVF Center is located next to Highway 379, about 6 km from Ecopark urban area, conveniently connected to the center of Hanoi via Hanoi - Hai Phong highway and Thanh Tri bridge. With a scale of more than 22 hectares, PVF Center is invested and built according to international standards, including 7 football fields (1 main stadium with a capacity of 3,600 seats and 6 standard training fields). In addition, the center also has a modern dormitory system, dining hall, classrooms and library to serve students comprehensively.
In addition to the outdoor courts, the center is also equipped with a modern indoor practice court, allowing students to practice in all weather conditions. According to the project, the new stadium will have an area of over 55,000 m², a capacity of 60,000 seats, including 4 main stands A, B, C, D along with functional areas and accompanying specialized items. The stadium is fully equipped with functional areas such as technical area, security, operation - broadcasting center, areas for press, players, VIPs and food service areas... The outstanding feature of PVF Stadium is the giant dome design that can be opened and closed completely in just 12 - 20 minutes. This is the first time this technology has been applied in Vietnam.
At the proposed location for the new stadium, the surrounding area is currently home to ornamental plant gardens belonging to the Lien Nghia flower and ornamental plant craft village, with mainly grapefruit, orange and traditional ornamental plants.
Owners of garden houses around the land said they were very happy to hear about the project to build the largest stadium in Vietnam and were ready to hand over and relocate when there was an announcement of land reclamation for the project. Upon completion, the PVF Stadium, with a capacity of 60,000 seats and meeting FIFA standards, will be qualified to host international matches. The project will not only serve the competition and training of young players, but will also be a sports center and a large-scale event center for the People's Public Security force, contributing to promoting the national sports movement. PVF Stadium is planned as a sports and service complex, covering an area of 920,000 m², with a parking lot of 180,000 m², inspired by AT&T Stadium (USA) and Singapore National Stadium.
The three highlights of the project are: a dome that can open and close automatically in 12 - 20 minutes, simulating the technology of AT&T Stadium - the stadium with the largest dome in the world; a hybrid modular field surface, combining natural and artificial grass, similar to Wembley Stadium (UK) to help drain water quickly, prevent slipping and easy to maintain; a high-class VIP area with private rooms, panoramic balconies and international standard culinary services.
When completed, PVF Stadium will be the largest sports facility in Vietnam since the My Dinh National Sports Complex opened in 2002 to host the 2003 SEA Games.
