Tran Van Thao is about to return to the boxing ring.

On November 15, the Ho Tram Legendary event, an international boxing tournament coordinated by Cocky Buffalo with the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation (HBF), the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and The Grand Ho Tram, will take place. The tournament will bring together 14 boxers from developed boxing countries such as Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Australia, along with 7 attractive boxing matches.

All matches are recorded on the BoxRec.com system, ensuring professional value and transparency, and directly contributing to the boxer's ranking on the world boxing map. Among the three home boxers, Tran Van Thao is the most anticipated face.

The 2017 WBC Asia, 2022 IBA World and 2024 WBO Global champion has an impressive record of 18 wins in 20 professional matches, including 10 knockout wins. At the age of 33, “The Trigger” is still the pride of Vietnamese boxing, a boxer who always steps into the ring with an indomitable spirit.

His opponent this time is Kwanchai Pliankhunthod, 23 years old, representing Thai boxing. The young boxer has 6 wins by knockout in a total of 17 matches and is highly appreciated for his strength, tenacity and fierce attacking style. The 56 kg match between the two boxers promises to be a tense match, where youth meets experience.

Before the match, Tran Van Thao shared briefly but with determination with Tri Thuc - Znews : “My opponent has experience and good physical strength, a true Thai boxer. But I never rate anyone higher than myself. When entering the ring, everything must be proven with my fists. I accepted the match 15 days in advance, preparing quickly is the biggest challenge, but I am used to the pressure. The more difficult it is, the more I want to overcome it.”

“To everyone who has supported me, thank you for always believing in me. I won’t promise much for this match, just one thing: I will step into the ring and fight until the last second,” Tran Van Thao shared.

In addition to Van Thao's match, the audience also witnessed the match between Phan Minh Quan and Balihenbieke (China) in the 64 kg class. Minh Quan caused a shock when he knocked out former Asia- Pacific champion Mark John Yap in 2022, while Balihenbieke is on a 4-match winning streak.

The highlight of the night was the WBO Asia Pacific Title between two veteran female boxers Pei Yi Wu (Chinese Taipei) and Pam Mccleliand (Australia). One side was young, the other was experienced, creating the most anticipated confrontation of the event.

In addition, boxers from Korea, China and Chinese Taipei also participated in 7 matches, bringing a night of international-class boxing. Along with the punches and cheers, the audience also enjoyed music and cuisine in the vibrant and luxurious space of the competition venue.
