New records of Viettel Y-Fest 2025

Audiences usually come to concerts to see, listen, and experience new things. However, with this special concert, they also come to join the artists and brands to create the greatest meaning of the program.

The audience actively and directly participated, becoming the center of the most meaningful moments of the Y-Fest 2025 show that took place last weekend on Nguyen Hue walking street (HCMC). With subtle creativity and understanding of the audience, combined with the ingenuity in organizing the Y-Fest music festival program, Viettel did what any brand wants - connecting musical emotions with brand emotions on the foundation of Vietnamese pride.

Audience sets records and spreads human values

The moment that made Y-Fest 2025 completely different from the usual brand shows was the Vietnam in me medley, performed by author Yen Le on stage at the Hanoi Opera House, combined with artist Dream Engine from the UK performing on stage at the Nguyen Hue walking street. When "millions of hearts sang the same song Vietnam", this emotional medley of the audience at Viettel Y-Fest set a record for "The event with the largest number of people singing the song Vietnam in me at the same time at 2 locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City".

Sharing on the Y-Fest 2025 stage, Ms. Nguyen Ha Thanh, Deputy General Director of Viettel Telecom Corporation, said: “Viettel Telecom is very honored and proud to become a bridge to connect technology, music and the heart of Vietnam. This record belongs to all of us. Once again, I would like to thank the Vietnam Record Organization, the artists and especially the audience in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Viettel Telecom is committed to continuing to invest in technology and digital infrastructure so that the pride of Vietnam will continue to spread forever.”

Not only is it a beautiful performance, it is also a deliberate idea, when Viettel invites the audience to scan QR codes to join in setting a record of singing together at two ends of the country. For each confirmed participation, Viettel will send 10,000 VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on behalf of Viettel to support the people of the Central region.

Viettel has put the audience at the center, and the audience is invited to actively participate. Every interaction has a measurable meaning, not just “for fun”, but “to create value”. Thanks to that, the record becomes direct evidence that technology can amplify kindness. A small operation on the phone, when multiplied tens of thousands of times, has created a practical contribution to the community.

Y-Fest also chooses artistic moments that can pull the audience into the role of emotional connectors. The duet LyLy - Anh Tu is a classic example, when 2 artists from 2 ends of the bridge Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City sang together in real time - an experience only possible thanks to the zero-latency 5G connection. When they "like" at the same time, the audience not only watched a performance, but also witnessed the geographical distance being erased by technology and emotions.

Y-Fest 2025 follows all the current trends in music event organization, but with one key difference. Viettel uses 5G technology to synchronize 2 stages, allowing duets from the North and South, latency-free livestreaming and real-time interaction. The result is a “proof-of-product” show: Viettel’s own infrastructure products become the story, the difference in the audience experience of the show.

In addition, Viettel has taken a more sophisticated step in using technology to empower audiences, allowing them to both experience and create social value. The combination of QR interaction and support with record results is a clear demonstration of this strategy.
