The victim was Anthony Miller, a player for Newall Green FC. He suffered a horrific knee injury in a seemingly harmless tackle. Miller tried to reach the ball but landed incorrectly, causing his knee to bend in an unnatural direction, creating a scene that made everyone who witnessed it shudder.

Miller was immediately carried off the field by his teammates, much to the concern of the spectators, but remarkably, he still maintained his sense of humor despite the extreme pain. As he was carried off the field on a stretcher, Miller even joked: "I used the wrong knee," causing his teammates to laugh in the midst of the dire situation.

Newall Green FC posted a video of Miller's injury on social media, with Michael Jackson's "Thriller" playing in the background and the caption: "The most horrific injury you've ever seen. Miller still makes us laugh as always. He's the best ever."

The clip quickly attracted more than 40,000 likes on Instagram and spread across English football forums. In a voice message to friends, Miller kept his spirits up: "Bro, this is crazy. What the hell am I doing?"

The team also posted a series of photos of Miller being carried off the field, confirming he will be out for the rest of the season: "We send you all our support and wish you a speedy recovery. The whole team will always be by your side."

The Sunday League is an amateur league outside the FA league system. Matches usually start on Sundays instead of Saturdays like the Premier League or Championship. Teams can be made up of office workers, pub owners, students or anyone who loves football.
