This year's contest brings together 25 excellent contestants selected from more than 20,000 tour guides from 7 provinces and cities with tourism strengths including: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Son La, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Thanh Hoa. The contestants will compete in greeting, knowledge and talent rounds to demonstrate their professional qualities, professional style and love for their homeland and country.
With the spirit of “tour guides are ambassadors, storytellers, inspirers - the soul of every journey of discovery ”, the contest is not only a professional playground but also an opportunity for tour guides to exchange, learn, and spread the image of friendly, hospitable and integrated Vietnamese people.
The event contributes to promoting the image of Thanh Hoa tourism, a land of "geomancy and talent", possessing many famous scenic spots and historical-cultural relics such as Ho Dynasty Citadel, Lam Kinh, Sam Son, Cam Luong sacred fish stream, Ben En National Park... This is also an opportunity to strengthen connections and cooperation in tourism development between localities in the region and the whole country.
The contest took place on October 22 and 23, including professional competitions, a discussion on "Tour guides in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution" and a closing ceremony and award ceremony on the evening of October 23 at Lam Son Theater.
