The 2024 Binh Duong Province Son Ca Singing Contest has just ended, but the sweet voices and impressive performances still linger in the hearts of the audience. This is a useful musical playground for children who are passionate about singing. The contest attracted nearly 100 contestants who are students from primary and secondary schools in the province.
The performance "Countryside Painting" by Tran Thuy Tien was awarded first prize in Group B for secondary school students.
Coming to this playground, the contestants not only sing, but also tell the musical story through each lyric, through the images in the MV. The contestants are divided into 2 groups: Group A for primary school students, Group B for secondary school students. Of which, 21 MVs are selected for the online voting round and the final round. In the final round, each contestant performs 2 songs: 1 song from the preliminary MV and 1 song of their choice.
Sharing his feelings after the competition, Pham Song Hao (Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, Thuan An City) said: “This year’s competition is very special as the scores were made public and livestreamed live. I feel very happy to watch the students perform and learn from them about confidence and performance style.”
Commenting on the performances of this year's contestants, musician Pham Dac Hien, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, shared that besides the contestants who were confident on stage, there were still some who did not choose songs suitable for their age. Parents and teachers need to choose songs that are suitable for the voice and age of the contestants, helping them to maximize their abilities. "More importantly, we need to nurture their passion for music and not create competition pressure, so that they can sing better and more emotionally," said musician Pham Dac Hien.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phan Thai Anh, Director of the Provincial Children's House, the Son Ca Singing Contest is a useful musical activity. This is also an opportunity for children to learn and exchange. During nearly 2 months, the contest received enthusiastic participation from nearly 100 contestants, with creative and meaningful MVs.
At the end of the contest, in addition to the prizes in the two groups, the Organizing Committee also awarded the contestant with the best MV, the top 20 prize and consolation prizes to the contestants with high achievements in the contest.
As a result of the contest, contestant Nguyen Kha Han (Phu Hoa 1 Primary School, Thu Dau Mot City) excellently won first prize in group A; second prize went to Nguyen Huynh Hai Yen (Tran Quoc Tuan Primary School, Ben Cat City); third prize went to Nguyen Phuoc Truong Hai (Hiep Thanh Primary School, Thu Dau Mot City) and Tran Anh Thu (Viet Anh 1 Secondary - Primary School, Thu Dau Mot City). In group B, the first prize was awarded to Tran Thuy Tien (Nguyen Viet Xuan Secondary School, Thu Dau Mot City); the second prize went to Vo Ngoc Thien Di (Tan Dong Hiep B Secondary School, Di An City); the third prize went to Pham Song Hao (Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, Thuan An City) and Nguyen Song Cat Tuong (Chu Van An Secondary School, Thu Dau Mot City). |
