More than 100 national excellent students enrolled at Hanoi National University of Education

The heavy rain early in the morning made it more difficult for many new students and parents from far away provinces to travel.

Right from the school gate and some "important" locations such as dormitories, a large number of student volunteers gather to support new students and their parents. Student reception areas are conveniently arranged for students.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thoa, Head of the Dormitory Management Board of the University of Education, said that registration for a place at the dormitory is done online right after students confirm their enrollment on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training, so there is no overload.

Even many students who have not yet enrolled have been confirmed with a room. Rooms here are arranged from the most priority group down until the quota is full.

Responding to Dan Tri reporter, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Son, Principal of Hanoi National University of Education, said that the school organized to welcome new students on August 30. All guidance and welcoming of new students were arranged scientifically to avoid overload.

"This year, the school has more than 300 quotas for students who won national excellent student awards in all fields, including many social sciences. As of this afternoon (August 30), about 100 students in this category have successfully enrolled," said the school principal.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Son, the school has not yet compiled specific statistics on the number of excellent students admitted to Hanoi National University of Education. However, it can be seen that the number of students who won national excellent student awards entering the school this year is quite large.

Sharing the opinion, if looking at the benchmark scores, we can see that the time of "rats running in the same cage enter pedagogy" is no longer there. Associate Professor Son said that is partly true.

According to Mr. Son, many people have changed their views on the teaching profession. "Of course, the teaching profession still faces many difficulties, especially in remote areas, but the way people look at life has changed a lot. If in the past we only thought about survival, today many people choose the profession for its meaning, not just for survival.

Choosing to enter the teaching profession is no longer considered less dynamic because many teachers do not choose the public environment but are very successful in operating on their own," Associate Professor Son said.

In 2024, Hanoi National University of Education caused a stir when it had the highest admission score of 29.3. This is the total score of three subjects, including priority points (if any). The major of Literature and History Education has an admission score of 29.3, the highest among the announced schools.

This year, the school will enroll about 4,000 students with 5 admission methods: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, direct admission, consideration of high school transcripts, entrance exam (aptitude test, capacity assessment test), combined entrance exam and admission.

Candidates who are admitted to the majors of information technology education and biology education after enrolling can register for the school to consider admission to the majors of information technology education (teaching information technology in English) and biology education (teaching biology in English), respectively, if they wish.

Candidates for the national defense and security education sector must be in good health, have nearsightedness or farsightedness of no more than 3 degrees, have no congenital defects, and have no offensive tattoos. Men must be 1.60m or taller, women must be 1.55m or taller.
