On July 6, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Gymnasium, the Vietnam Tennis Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh Province to organize the opening ceremony of the 2023 National Youth Team Tennis Championship.
The organizers presented souvenir flags to the participating delegations.
This year's National Youth Team Tennis Championship has the participation of 12 delegations of athletes from provinces, cities and sectors: Hanoi, Army, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Kien Giang, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh and the host team Ninh Binh, with a total of more than 100 athletes competing in 6 men's and women's team events in the age groups: U14, U16 and U18.
The referee exchanges the competition content with the players.
This is a tournament within the national high-performance competition system, held annually to create conditions for young tennis players to compete and improve their professional skills; helping experts to inspect and evaluate the training and education of young tennis athletes at units and localities nationwide.
Through the tournament, we aim to discover and select young, talented athletes to join the national team in preparation for upcoming international tournaments. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Ninh Binh to promote and introduce its socio-economic potential and strengths, scenic spots, historical and cultural relics of the locality; contributing to promoting the development of the sports movement, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people in the province.
The 2023 National Youth Team Tennis Championship will be held at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Gymnasium from July 5 to 11.
