More than 300 people collect garbage together in Nam Ninh Hoa commune

On July 29, the Vietnam Red Cross Society coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society and the Nam Ninh Hoa Commune People's Committee to organize the event "Collecting trash with people - Connecting the community, protecting the environment", combined with planting coastal mangrove forests. The event attracted the participation of more than 300 people, representing the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and branches, RMIT Vietnam, KLU University, volunteers and people.

At the event, delegates participated in activities such as: Discussion with the theme "Listening to the voices of garbage collectors"; talk on the topic "Identifying hazardous waste, methods of classification and safe collection". At the same time, they launched a campaign to collect nearly 3.5 tons of garbage along the coast and local waste in Nam Ninh Hoa commune; planted 1 hectare of mangrove forest at Bai Trieu; organized people to sign a commitment to "living green - living clean" in the community; distributed propaganda leaflets...

This event is part of the "Research on waste management in humanitarian activities" (WORM Project) of the Central Committee of the Red Cross, funded by Horizon Europe - a non-refundable aid program of the European Commission.
