Over 446.2 billion VND in gifts from the State to Hai Phong people on National Day

The total budget for gifts from the State to the people in Hai Phong city on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, is more than 446.2 billion VND.

According to the Department of Finance, on August 31 and from September 1 to 3, relevant sectors and units actively coordinated with 114 People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to pay the State's gifts on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 to the people.

The total budget for gifts from the State to the people in Hai Phong city on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 is over 446.2 billion VND. Of which, the additional central budget source has a target of over 442.6 billion VND, and the city budget reserve source is over 3.6 billion VND.

During the implementation process, a commune emerged with a higher actual population than the data provided by the City Police. The Department of Finance instructed to supplement from the commune budget.

In some cases, people take early holidays, go on vacation, and are not present in the locality to receive gifts in cash. The account data of some household heads entered into the VNeID software is not accurate, leading to the inability to make transfers at commercial banks; communes, wards, and special zones must withdraw cash to pay. The Ministry of Finance has provided additional guidance on gift giving at the end of the afternoon of September 1 for people serving prison sentences, temporary detention, temporary detention, or in compulsory drug rehabilitation or reformation facilities who are permanent household heads or who do not have a permanent residence.

For cases that have not received gifts from the State, implementing the direction of the Chairman of the City People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 2278/UBND-TC dated September 2, 2025, the units: City Police, Department of Finance, State Treasury Region 3, State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 6 continue to coordinate, with the People's Committees of 114 communes, wards, and special zones in the city to review and focus on organizing the delivery of gifts to people to ensure convenience, safety, no omissions or duplication, and completion within the required time.
