The first “Beautiful Handwriting of Childhood” contest, with the theme “Practice handwriting, cultivate character” was organized by Vietnam Children Magazine in collaboration with ERAS Vietnam Office with the aim of creating a useful playground for students to participate. Thereby, training perseverance, concentration, carefulness, scientific and neat presentation, creating a premise for their future self-development.
Launched from August 31 to October 15, after the Online - Preliminary Round, the Organizing Committee received more than 80,000 entries, more than 60,000 videos , nearly 200,000 images and articles from candidates in 45 provinces/cities to respond to the contest. It is estimated that the contest has reached more than 3.2 million people, attracting the participation and coordination of the Departments of Education and Training, Departments of Education and Training, and primary school systems nationwide.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children's Magazine - Head of the Organizing Committee of the first "Beautiful Handwriting of Childhood" contest, said that more than 80,000 contestants participating were commendable and proud because they dared to test themselves and overcome themselves in a playground that required the formation and promotion of many virtues of perseverance, concentration, and meticulousness, creating a premise for self-development in the future...
“In particular, the contest also aims to develop the movement to preserve and honor beautiful Vietnamese writing nationwide. Therefore, in addition to the criteria of the contestants' scores, the Organizing Committee also considers a number of other criteria such as: Nationality, region, contestants with difficult or special circumstances, contestants with the will to overcome difficulties...”, Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy shared.
At the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 First Prizes to contestants Pham Mai Lam Dan - Class 2C, Chien Thang Primary School (Thai Nguyen); Contestant Yui Yoshizaki - Class 4US, Da Hop Inter-level School (Hoa Binh); Contestant Luu Ha Phan - Class 4A1, Dien Bien 1 Primary School (Thanh Hoa).
