In March 2025, Hyundai Accent grew strongly after a long period of being at a disadvantage in the B-class sedan segment. The Korean car model suddenly rose to the top position when sales increased by 130%.
However, this breakthrough did not last long. In April, Hyundai Accent lost its form, dropped in rank and faced many challenges from the market and competitors.

According to data released by TC Motor, in April, Hyundai Accent sold only 568 cars, down nearly 46% compared to the previous month. Notably, this decline occurred despite the fact that this sedan model continues to enjoy incentives from the company with a discount of up to 75 million VND for cars manufactured in 2024 (VIN 2024).
The drop in sales caused Hyundai Accent to fall to third place in the segment rankings, ceding the top spot to Honda City, while Toyota Vios maintained its second place despite also recording a sales decline of nearly 26%.

In terms of cumulative sales in the first four months of 2025, Vios is still the best-selling B-class sedan in the market. However, Honda City is increasingly closing the gap, currently only 100 cars behind.
Honda City was a surprise name in April when it achieved sales of 957 cars, an increase of nearly 39% compared to the previous month. This achievement was achieved in the context that the company did not launch any promotional programs for this model during the month, forcing dealers to run their own incentive programs to stimulate demand.

This is the second time in 2025 that Honda City has risen to the top of the B-class sedan segment, after the first time in January. Last year, this model also took the top position twice in March and November.
While the top three models kept changing positions, the remaining models in the B-class sedan segment generally maintained their rankings. Mazda2 recorded a positive growth of 22%, while Mitsubishi Attrage dropped sharply by more than 30%.
Kia Soluto, despite only selling 57 cars, still created a bright spot thanks to a growth rate of 185% compared to the previous month. This achievement helped the sedan of the Korean brand escape the list of 10 slowest-selling car models on the market.
