Meeting of the Organizing Committee for the program "Affectionate Bonds of the Lam River

To prepare for the "Lam Family Solidarity Program - Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025", on the afternoon of December 31st, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with the program's organizing committee.

The "Lam River Solidarity" program is a continuation of the "Tet for the Poor" program organized annually by Nghe An province. Its purpose is to promote and mobilize social resources to care for and assist the poor, impoverished households, near-poor households, and households with difficult circumstances in the province so they can celebrate the Year of the Snake (2015) in a warmer and more fulfilling way.

Nguyen Duc Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, delivered a speech at the meeting.

One of the new features of this year's program is the "Early Spring in the Highlands" program, which will be held in all localities in the province from January 4th to 10th, 2025 (corresponding to December 5th to 11th in the Lunar calendar). The main activities of "Early Spring in the Highlands" include organizing free Tet gift stalls for the poor, and organizing traditional spring games suitable to the local context.

At the meeting, the Organizing Committee members discussed preparations for the "Lam Family Solidarity - Spring 2025" program, which will be held at 8 PM on January 10, 2025 (corresponding to the 11th day of the 12th lunar month) at the Provincial Labor Culture House and will be broadcast live on NTV channel of Nghe An Television Station.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long requested that the members of the Organizing Committee promptly implement the assigned tasks.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long also requested that media agencies extensively publicize this event, which has profound political , social, and humanitarian significance, in order to promote the tradition of solidarity and mutual support within the community, caring for and helping the poor and vulnerable to have a more fulfilling and warm Tet holiday, and giving them more strength to rise out of poverty sustainably.
