On the afternoon of March 18, in Hanoi, Phenikaa University coordinated with the British Council in Vietnam to organize the Seminar "Vietnam-UK TransnationalEducation Cooperation in the Process of Internationalizing Vietnamese Higher Education".
This is an activity within the framework of the project "Empower TNE: Enhancing UK TNE value in Vietnam" sponsored by the British Council for four Vietnamese universities: Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance; Phenikaa University; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (University of Danang).
Deputy General Director, Vice Rector of Phenikaa University, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh shared that education today tends to be globalized and internationalized. In that context, the UK is the country with the most transnational education programs in Vietnam. This brings many advantages in terms of globally recognized degrees and reasonable tuition fees.
Through the project, Phenikaa University has improved the capacity of its staff, participated in workshops on curriculum design, active teaching methods and quality management of joint training programs. At the same time, it has connected and expanded its network of partners including international enterprises in Vietnam, Vietnamese and British universities.

Meanwhile, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc said: The Transnational Education Project has achieved remarkable achievements in connecting university staff and lecturers nationwide, facilitating the exchange of teaching experiences in the context of the strongly developing transnational education program. Notably, the project has brought opportunities for high school students, helping them to access early information on career orientation and the need to become global citizens, adapting to the digital age, the age of artificial intelligence.
Sharing the project results, the Rector of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (University of Danang), Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Cong Phap said: The project has achieved many encouraging results, from improving the capacity of lecturers, introducing new technologies to sharing experiences between British and Vietnamese universities. The transnational education system has been widely introduced to Vietnamese lecturers, students and pupils, providing opportunities for international learning and connection.
According to Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, the Transnational Education project has built a platform to connect universities, share and promote international education programs, especially the Vietnam-UK relationship.
Through the project’s professional training workshops, the team of leaders, managers, international cooperation staff and lecturers have expanded connections, improved management and teaching methods, and ensured quality. The project not only expanded access to information for students, parents and stakeholders through introductory events and digital communications, but also updated new trends such as the application of artificial intelligence in training and the development of integrated programs for sustainable development. These efforts contribute to promoting the United Nations development goals on quality education, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Within the framework of the seminar, the "Vietnam-UK Transnational Education Cooperation Network" was officially introduced. This initiative promises to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of education, supporting the development of cooperation programs, creating research and academic exchange opportunities between members, bringing practical benefits to learners, lecturers and education staff of the two countries.
