Inter-provincial cooperation in tourism development

In the context of economic difficulties, Vinh Phuc tourism industry still achieved impressive growth results. One of the factors contributing to the recovery and promotion of tourism development in the province is the promotion and cooperation of inter-provincial tourism between Vinh Phuc and other localities.

Inter-regional, inter-zone and inter-provincial linkages are an inevitable trend in tourism development, motivating localities to constantly innovate, create, improve the quality of tourism products, create regional competitive advantages and bring many choices to tourists.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation and tourism promotion for provinces and cities across the country, in 2023, the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center participated in the program " Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival".

At the festival, the center coordinated with the province's businesses to display and promote Vinh Phuc's unique cultural, tourism and culinary products and introduce famous tourist attractions, resorts and scenic spots such as Tam Dao National Tourist Area, Tay Thien Relics and Scenic Area, Binh Son Tower Special National Monument of Art and Architecture, Tho Tang Communal House Special National Monument, Dai Lai Tourist Area, resorts, golf courses, and high-class resort hotels of the province...

At the festival, many OCOP products and typical tourism gifts of the province such as Tam Dao honey, golden flower tea, cordyceps, morinda wine, etc. were introduced to agencies, businesses, and people of many provinces and cities participating in the program.

Also in 2023, implementing the promotion and cooperation of inter-provincial tourism, Vinh Phuc coordinated with Tuyen Quang province to organize a program of cooperation to develop inter-regional and inter-regional tourism. Within the framework of the program, many meaningful activities took place such as surveying tours and tourist routes of Tam Dao - Tay Thien (Vinh Phuc) - Son Duong - Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang); organizing seminars to build new tours and tourist routes linking the two localities and signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between businesses and units of the two provinces.

Through the activities, delegates, experts, researchers, tourism and travel businesses analyzed and evaluated strengths, potentials, advantages, difficulties and proposed initiatives to promote tourism development, especially spiritual and cultural tourism, conference tourism, eco-tourism, resorts associated with golf tourism, enhancing cultural values, forming new tours and routes to serve tourists, thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness of socio-economic development, attracting investment in Vinh Phuc and strengthening cooperation between the two localities.

Not only promoting tourism cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and Tuyen Quang province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also carries out activities to connect and promote tourism with some localities such as Hanoi, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen... The activities are always organized with the support of tourism and travel businesses in the province.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh, Director of Tsubame Tourism and Trade Joint Stock Company, Vinh Yen City said: “In 2023, the company participated in many programs to promote and cooperate in developing tourism in Vinh Phuc with provinces and cities across the country. At the "Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival", after introducing the gift products and strong tourism products that the business is providing, my company received a request to provide a tour to Tay Thien - Tam Dao for a group of 26 people from Ho Chi Minh City.

Along with the effectiveness of increasing the number of tours and tourist routes, promoting gift products and resort products to tourists from near and far, participating in promotional programs also helps bring many attractive cooperation opportunities for businesses.

In 2024, in order to continue to improve the effectiveness of inter-provincial, inter-regional and inter-regional tourism development cooperation, the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center has developed a plan to implement activities such as promoting communication and promotion of Vinh Phuc tourism on mass media; organizing conferences to promote destinations and link tourism development with a number of provinces and cities with tourism strengths; organizing Vinh Phuc cultural - tourism space in Hanoi.

Linking tourism development in Vinh Phuc - Phu Tho - Yen Bai - Lao Cai - Ha Giang; organizing a tourism survey program and a discussion to evaluate the province's tourist destinations for travel agencies, press and tourism researchers from the South to come to Vinh Phuc for a 2-day, 1-night survey...
