Speaking at the press conference announcing the Tournament, Mr. Que Dinh Nguyen - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Tournament, hoped that the achievements would be a source of inspiration and strong motivation for athletes to compete in the 42nd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper for the PetroVietnam - PVCFC Cup in 2024.

Mr. Que Dinh Nguyen emphasized that the 2024 National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper is the basis for the Department of Physical Training and Sports and the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation to select top players for the National Team to participate in upcoming international competitions, while contributing to encouraging and promoting the sports training movement in general and table tennis in particular in the whole country.

This year, the National Table Tennis Championship continues to attract the participation of nearly 200 athletes from 18 professional table tennis delegations of provinces, cities, industries, and businesses nationwide, including strong table tennis centers such as: Hanoi, Hai Duong , Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Army, People's Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police...

This tournament promises high professional quality and competition because it has all the national players who have just competed in the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifiers, along with young athletes who have just achieved high results at the 2024 Southeast Asian Youth Championship, and the participation of new table tennis delegations: Ba Ria Vung Tau, Nghe An, Time City... showing the strong development of top-level table tennis and the Vietnamese table tennis movement.

Athletes will compete in 7 events: Men's Team - Women's Team, Men's Singles - Women's Singles, Men's Doubles - Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The Organizing Committee continues to hold a Quick Photo Contest with the theme "Beautiful moments of the 42nd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper" for professional and amateur photographers, with valuable prizes.
