Hue welcomed more than 160,000 visitors after only two days of holiday, hotels were almost fully booked

According to tourism industry statistics, in the first two days of the April 30 holiday, Hue City welcomed a record number of visitors with 160,000 arrivals.

On the morning of May 2, the Hue City People's Committee Office said that the number of tourists visiting and staying in the area during the first two days of the holiday far exceeded the same period in 2024.

Accordingly, in the first two days of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Hue City recorded a sudden increase in the number of tourists with more than 160,000 arrivals, including more than 40,000 international visitors.

Room occupancy at many hotels reached 98%, many places had no more rooms available.

Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at about 330 billion VND, nearly double that of last year.

According to the Department of Tourism, tourists mainly concentrate at points belonging to the Hue Monuments Complex, beaches, waterfalls and eco-resorts.

The bustling tourist atmosphere is also thanks to a series of events responding to the National Tourism Year 2025 hosted by Hue, such as "Countryside Market Festival", "Thuan An Sea Calls", "Hue - Culinary Capital" or the Tam Giang Lagoon Experience Tour...

To ensure service quality, Hue City has coordinated with functional agencies to implement many solutions such as ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, controlling prices and enhancing entertainment activities to serve tourists.

In addition, the Hue tourism hotline 0234.3828288 continues to operate continuously to receive feedback related to "price gouging", price gouging or service issues, to create peace of mind for tourists when coming to Hue during the holidays.
