Huong Ly, Le Hoang Phuong, Ngoc Chau reunite on stage after 3 years

(Dan Tri) - Having made an impression at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 contest, Runner-up Huong Ly, Miss Le Hoang Phuong and Miss Ngoc Chau attracted attention when they reunited on the catwalk after 3 years.

Within the framework of Vietnam International Fashion Week taking place on the evening of June 7, beauty queens and models gathered at the launch of the Illusion Show collection by designer Dang Trong Minh Chau. The collection includes designs that are a cross between fashion and visual arts, deceiving viewers' emotions through the handling of color blocks, shapes and materials.

The highlight of the show is the rare collaboration of three beauties who competed at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, including Runner-up Huong Ly, Miss Le Hoang Phuong and Miss Ngoc Chau. After three years, each has their own position in the profession, now they reunite in the role of vedette (closing the show), creating a brilliant ending.

The designer cleverly chose designs that flattered the figure and expressed each person’s personality. If Huong Ly was mysterious in a powerful black tone, Le Hoang Phuong was sexy in a bright yellow slit dress, then Ngoc Chau transformed into a proud rose in a striking red dress. The trio’s performance immediately caused a stir on social networks.

The show also featured supermodel Minh Tu as the opening act. She made an impressive appearance in a contrasting red and black layered dress. With her powerful demeanor, Minh Tu led the audience into Dang Trong Minh Chau's "visual maze".

The Illusion collection consists of two parts. In the first part, the ao dai designs are stylized at the neck, shoulders and sleeves, helping to break the traditional mold but still retain the original spirit.

Part two is the dramatic change of Dang Trong Minh Chau, with elaborately embellished dresses, applying 3D form-building techniques, heat transfer printing, color patchwork, and manual embellishment.

In particular, the catwalk also gathered a series of outstanding beauty queens, runners-up and models such as: Miss Que Anh, Runner-up Hanh Nguyen, Runner-up Minh Kien, Tra My (Next Top), Le Nam, Be Quyen, Lynk Lee...

Sharing about the new collection, Dang Trong Minh Chau said he wanted to bring something new and attractive instead of following the old path. With that in mind, he decided to create a unique collection of dresses, showing a different color besides the Ao Dai, which is a fusion of traditional and modern beauty.

"My team and I put a lot of effort into making Illusion , hoping to bring a new color instead of following the beaten path. Fortunately, the collection received a warm welcome from the audience," Dang Trong Minh Chau shared.
