Who are the speakers of the digital transformation and ESG practice workshop?

(Dan Tri) - The workshop "Digital transformation solutions and ESG practices - Key to global economic integration" will be held on June 24. The speakers will discuss many important contents.

The workshop will delve into the most prominent current issues related to digital transformation and ESG practices, analyzed through the lens of experienced experts and from the operational practices of domestic businesses and banks.

The workshop was attended by a large number of leading experts in the field of ESG and digital transformation domestically and internationally with outstanding experience in training and practice at enterprises.

At the event, speakers will present their views, share their experiences in digitalization implementation, and propose initiatives and strategic directions to improve the effectiveness of ESG application in the coming time.

Mr. Sam Hanna is Managing Director and Vice President Strategy ASEAN Shell Global Lubricants.

Mr. Sam Hanna is Managing Director and Vice President of Strategy ASEAN Shell Global Lubricants, responsible for establishing and implementing ESG strategy in the region. He is also the Director of the EMBA program at the School of Management (SOM), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

He is introduced to have more than 20 years of experience living and working in Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Singapore, Vietnam), in charge of many areas of activities such as planning, operating sustainable development at many companies in the Fortune 500 list such as Shell, Honeywell, Allied Signal, Bendix Mintex & Makro Thailand.

With a global perspective and extensive experience in implementing ESG in multinational corporations, Mr. Sam Hanna is expected to deliver a presentation analyzing the economic, political and social context that is making ESG a top priority of the 21st century, becoming a strategic foundation for long-term development.

This expert will also share some international ESG frameworks, along with practical examples in many markets, including Vietnam and the banking sector.

Dr. Luong Thai Bao - Head of International Finance Department, Institute of Banking and Finance, National Economics University.

Dr. Luong Thai Bao is Head of the Department of International Finance, Institute of Banking and Finance, National Economics University, Hanoi . He received his PhD in Economics from Paris Nord University, France with a thesis on growth, technology and human resources in developing countries. He is also co-chair of Fintech Village 2020 - 2023, Techfest Vietnam; co-founder of the Vietnam Corporate Governance Initiative (VCGI).

Dr. Thai Bao will provide a realistic picture of the level of digital transformation of Vietnamese enterprises today, focusing on the banking sector - an industry at the forefront of the digitalization process. Consulting and implementation experiences at many organizations, typically VietinBank - one of the largest commercial banks in Vietnam - will be presented to illustrate how technology, human resources and culture can be harmoniously integrated to promote a comprehensive digital transformation process.

Dr. Phung Van Dong - Director of Asia Technology Institute in Vietnam (AIT Vietnam).

Dr. Phung Van Dong - Director of Asia Technology Institute in Vietnam (AIT Vietnam), is a senior expert in design thinking and innovation. He received his PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia in the field of Information Systems. He also holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Design from the University of Central Lancashire (UK), and a Master of Education Management from the National Institute of Education Management, Vietnam.

At the workshop, he will clarify the role of education in the wave of digital transformation and sustainable transformation. In fact, the ESG human resource issue is considered a major "bottleneck" in the sustainable transformation process of Vietnamese enterprises.

Therefore, the lessons from AIT Vietnam's cooperation, implementation and practice of ESG with VietinBank in Dr. Dong's sharing promise to bring necessary suggestions for businesses, in addition to suggestions on training programs for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), short-term courses on ESG, and pioneering the implementation of international master's programs on ESG towards sustainable solutions for the community.
