Viettel records record profits, average worker income exceeds 50 million VND/month

The Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) has just announced its business results for 2024, recording the average income of employees at the parent company reaching 50.2 million VND/month.

According to Viettel's financial report, the total consolidated revenue and income of the whole group was 193,715 billion VND, exceeding the plan by more than 8,800 billion VND. Of which, parent company Viettel contributed 106,121 billion VND.

After deducting expenses, Viettel's consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND54,337 billion - the highest level ever and nearly VND8,200 billion higher than expected. Of the total profit, the parent company accounted for the majority with more than VND40,603 billion.

With large profits, the average income of employees at Viettel Group also improved, reaching 33.5 million VND/person/month, an increase of about 2.8 million VND compared to the plan.

If we consider Viettel's parent company alone, the average income of employees reached 50.2 million VND/month, higher than the previously planned 47.6 million VND.

Regarding its obligations to the state, the largest military corporation contributed VND46,345 billion last year to pay taxes and other fees.

The report said that by the end of 2024, Viettel's total consolidated assets reached VND344,564 billion, an increase of nearly VND48,000 billion compared to the beginning of the year, equivalent to an increase of 16%.

Notably, long-term assets doubled to VND133,919 billion, mainly due to a sharp increase in long-term financial investments from VND8,796 billion to VND62,856 billion - 7.2 times higher than at the beginning of the period.

On the other side of the balance sheet, liabilities also increased from VND106,858 billion to VND138,585 billion, an increase of 30% after one year.

Of which, short-term debt accounts for 73% and has increased quite strongly, from 74,339 billion VND to 101,362 billion VND. In addition, equity also recorded a significant increase, adding nearly 16,300 billion VND, reaching 205,978 billion VND.

How are the other telecom "giants"?

Previously, a report from the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises said that MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation's consolidated pre-tax profit in 2024 is estimated to reach VND2,048 billion, exceeding the yearly plan by 20.6%.

At Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ), information from the enterprise shows that the total revenue of the whole group reached 58,540 billion VND last year. Of which, the revenue of the parent company VNPT reached 41,995 billion VND, reaching 100.1% of the plan, up 7% over the same period in 2023.

VNPT's consolidated pre-tax profit in 2024 reached VND 6,086 billion, of which the parent company's pre-tax profit reached VND 4,565 billion, reaching 103.3% of the plan, up 3% over the same period in 2023.
