According to reports presented at the seminar, the private economic sector contributes about 42.3% to GDP and accounts for more than 85% of the total number of enterprises operating in the country. This is the most dynamic sector, always taking the lead in expanding investment, exploiting markets, accessing new technologies and innovating management methods.

In particular, this sector has created jobs for about 83.7% of informal workers and more than 45% of the total workforce in the economy. These figures clearly reflect the central role of the private economy in ensuring social security, contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction and maintaining macroeconomic stability.

Experts emphasize that to maximize its potential, the private economy needs to be fueled by Vietnam's unique cultural and social resources, in which the spirit of family solidarity that has supported Vietnamese entrepreneurs for centuries will become an endogenous strength to help private enterprises stand firmer on their development journey.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Phan Xuan Dung affirmed that the resolution on developing the private economy is not only a major policy, but also a trust in the mission of the national business community. He emphasized the need to build a team of entrepreneurs with the courage and capacity to compete regionally and internationally, considering this an important driving force to promote the country in the new period.

To develop a sustainable private economy, Dr. Phan Xuan Son believes that it is necessary to create a strong breakthrough in science , technology, green growth and digital transformation. Compared to international standards, Vietnam is still quite new in the field of digital transformation; if businesses and local authorities clearly define "what to do and how to do it" in this process, the economy will develop faster.

In addition, public-private partnership is also a strategic direction, helping to effectively mobilize resources from individuals, communities and localities, bringing benefits to both businesses and the State.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tran Van Thin proposed a group of key solutions. Specifically, perfecting and improving the quality of institutions and policies, creating a favorable, transparent and stable environment for the private economic sector. Innovating thinking, unifying awareness and action on the role of the private economy. Promoting the application of science, technology and digital transformation to ensure sustainable development. Strengthening links, supporting small and medium enterprises to participate in regional and global supply chains. Improving business ethics, building a healthy and sustainable competitive environment.

According to Professor Vu Minh Giang, the state needs to continue to improve mechanisms and policies to create conditions for private enterprises to develop on a larger scale, aiming not only to enrich themselves but also to shoulder the nation's aspirations for advancement.
